Home cleaning is becoming more and more of a chore these days, and often when people find a little bit of time to clean their house, they either cannot find the cleaner they need or they do not have the right one.

With all of the common household items that can be found lying around the house, knowing how to put things together can really help save stress, money, and a trip to the store when you are already limited on free time. There are homemade alternatives for some of the most common home cleaning tasks:

Home Cleaning Recipe #1: Mildew remover and disinfectant dilute 3/4 cup chlorine bleach in one gallon of water. You can use it on bathroom tile, kitchen floor tile, and grout. Scrub a bit, wipe the areas clean, and rinse thoroughly.

Home Cleaning Recipe #2: Stain remover for non stick pans Pour a solution of 1 cup of water, 2 tbsp of baking soda, and 1/2 cup chlorine bleach into the stained pan and simmer on the stove for 10 minutes. Do not let it boil over the side of the pan. Being careful not to burn yourself, wash the pan in hot soapy water, rinse and dry.

Home Cleaning Recipe #3: Homemade glass cleaner combine 1/2 cup of ammonia, 2 cups of rubbing alcohol and one teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent in a gallon of water. There are many different recipes for homemade glass cleaner, but using this one is good for very cold weather as it is not very likely to freeze.

Home Cleaning Recipe #4: Grease remover for walls place several napkins or paper towels over the grease spot, and place a warm iron over the towels until the grease is absorbed. Be careful not to have the iron up at full heat, or the towels may start to smoke..
*Note* Recipe #4 also works on walls for removing crayon, after any excess crayon has first been scraped off with a knife.

Home Cleaning Recipe #5: Gum Remover from carpeting and upholstery Sponge with a small amount of dry cleaning solvent. Use a small amount at a time to prevent possible damage. Do not use gasoline, lighter fluid or carbon tetrachloride.
